General Informations - The Filra Filra are the inhabitants of the planet Filra. Filra society is based on a system of Classes similar to the old Caste System in some Earth cultures. The two major Class Divisions are Servant and Noble, though these are then subdivided into Sub-Classes. Servants possess no rights and are, in essence, property to be held or even traded among Nobles for services of all types. In fact, trading of Servants is considered normal among higher Noble Houses.As is common of such cultures, there are House Wars among Noble Houses and alliances made. When an Alliance Of Houses defeats another House, that defeated House is Sundered. The possessions they held are divided among the victorious Houses, and their remaining members also divided as Servant Class to the victorious House. This is known as The Sundering.
The highest authority on Filra is, surprisingly, not the Council of Nobles (though the general populace is led to believe that it is). Above that body presides the Chief Noble. She is an enigmatic figure that appeared twelve generations ago in what the Filra have termed the Light Switch Effect. She has rules ever since, and no one challenges her for fear of becoming the latest Living Shell (their word for what is left after a confrontation with this strange woman, an empty slate).
Filra maintains a
closed border. There are buoys placed around its territory warning any
would-be travelers to go no further. Proceeding without clearance will
be met with the greatest of force. Filra ships have "shoot to kill"
orders on any ship that breaks their barricade without authorization.
