Lieutenant Hranni Brinn - Chief Engineer

Hranni was born the youngest of a large, wealthy family in the Bolian capital on Bolarus IX. Her father and uncle owned a shipping company. While her uncle ran the business end, her father kept the ships running, captaining a maintenance freighter.

While most of Hranni's siblings went into the family business in some capacity, her oldest brothers went into Starfleet and the Marines. This was the path Hranni wished to follow but she couldn't make the physical requirements to be in the Marines or even a security officer. So Hranni went with her next passion, engineering, which she had grown up doing on her family's fleet. But she also took engineering specialties that would give her possible field experience with the Marines providing support, getting certified in munitions and small arms and cross-training with security/tactical.
This training came in handy during the Dominion War when her ability to quickly take apart, adjust and put back together the Marines' phaser rifles allowed them to attack an important Dominion communications post that was protected by a dampening field.
